"My" metro station is closed for renovation. So I had to use the dark and dirty Simplon station, which has not been reconstructed yet...
I wanted to use my tripod and my wide-angle lens, but I forgot the lens adapter and the tripod at home. Stupid me. So I gave it a try without them, and I did my best to stay stiff and motionless for two long seconds of aperture time I wanted motion blurs for the train and the passengers, not for the name of the station !
But I like it, anyway. I like the ad, too, with the woman who seems to look at the metro passing by...
Just after this shot, some policemen-like people with big muscles and big guns came to talk to me. They said it was absolutely forbidden to shoot pictures in the metro, and they told me to write to RATP (the Parisian metro company) to get an authorization. I will write, for sure. I won't survive a long winter without shooting in the warmth of our good old French Metropolitain
Excellent! Le format de la photo s'accorde très bien avec la direction du métro. Le passant est vraiment passé là au bon moment. Dommage que tu n'aies pas utilisé un trépied, le fond reste flou... La photo n'en reste pas moins très ré ussie.
Love this shot. Just great composition, especially with the blur. The fact that you can make out the faces on the advertisement in the background really adds a great dimension to the photo. Well done.
Whoa EXCELLENT job holding that camera. I can't seem to figure out why taking a picture in the "subway" (as we would call it ) would be forbidden. Oh well . . . whatever the reason - I'm glad you took it anyway
this is a lovely shot, great moment
shot taken with a coolpix 5700? u wrote something like that in your last submissions.
